This was a very educating assignment as far as the video. However, I was not able to view Jose's educational bog. Top ten tips for using technology in the classroom by Jose Picardo should be watched by all present and future teachers. It's educational and inspirational for those who have given up on their students. Thanks to Jose's top ten tips, teaching can be relevant to your students.

Firstly, he encourages us to utilize videos and music. Simply downloading music from iTunes will engage your classroom. From Elementary school to now, music still catches my attention. Next, teachers should incorporate Skype in order for students to communicate with students locally or across the world. Blogs are beneficial for they display student's work and their achievements. Social networking such as Facebook can be acceptable also. Teachers don't realize you can create a closed group in order to communicate with their students. Lastly, I liked the idea of creating your own assignments from game makers that tailor you students. Indeed, only we know our students' strengths and weaknesses.

  1. Yes, music seems important and useful. I left these suggestions for Elizabeth Brooks who wants to teach history in high school: As for music, link research with music. For example what was happening in the US/BG when the Beatles released this song (play) or a bit from Les Miserables or Don't Cry for Me Argentina or .... How would you use music in your teaching?

  2. It's great that you like the idea of creating some personalized games. I think that the SMARTboard software is really wonderful for this type of activity. They have so many different templates to work with. I think (especially for younger children) that games that help them learn is a huge plus for them! I also really like the idea of using music in the classroom. Even if it's just to have on hand to play when the kids may need a little break. I really wish that we had Skype around when I was in school. I would have loved to have been able to interact with people from all over the world! Good post!
